About TaskOH
TaskOH is client task management software for freelance developers and small software teams: client requests, a Kanban board and list, a client portal, and estimate and delivery approvals in one workspace. It is priced per workspace, not per user. There is a free plan, and the client portal and approvals start on Solo at $1.99 a month.
What TaskOH does
- Collects client requests and turns Word briefs into draft tasks with AI task import.
- Tracks the work on a board or list with six fixed statuses, from Inbox to Done.
- Records scope, planned hours and fees, and gets two separate client decisions: estimate approval before the work and delivery approval after it (Solo and up).
- Gives clients a client portal that shows only the tasks you share (Solo and up).
- Lets AI assistants work in your tasks through the TaskOH MCP server and API.
It deliberately leaves out invoicing, payments, proposals, time tracking, white-labelling, Gantt charts and sprints, so you can keep the tools you already use for those.
Who it is for
Freelance developers, small software teams and web or digital agencies who build for clients and need requests, scope and sign-off in one place. It is not built for enterprise portfolio management or large internal programmes.
Where TaskOH is built
TaskOH is built and operated in Hungary, in the European Union. Its terms of service are governed by Hungarian law, and its servers are hosted in the EU. The product launched as TaskOH in 2026; before that it was called Briefflow.
Security and data
The points below summarise the privacy policy and how the product works today. The policy is the authoritative version.
- Sign-in: by an emailed link that works once and expires after 15 minutes. Passwords are optional; a password you set is stored only as an Argon2id hash.
- Client access: invited clients see only the projects they are invited to and the tasks marked visible to them. Internal notes stay with your team.
- Assistant access: MCP and API connections use personal access tokens that act with your own permissions. You can revoke a token at any time on the Integrations page, which also shows when each token was last used.
- Transport and hosting: data travels over HTTPS, servers are in the EU, and the database is reachable only from the application’s internal containers.
- Service providers: Stripe processes payments, an AI provider processes the documents and pasted emails you import, and Google Analytics runs only after you choose “Allow analytics”; it never receives project content or account details. Your documents are not used to train AI models.
- Deletion: when you delete your account, personal and project data is deleted within 30 days unless the law requires longer retention.
