Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaskOH ("the Service"), operated at taskoh.app and app.taskoh.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use TaskOH. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Service Description

TaskOH is an AI-powered project management platform designed for teams working with clients. The Service includes:

• Kanban boards with customizable task statuses
• AI-powered task extraction from uploaded documents
• Client portals for external stakeholder visibility
• Approval workflows for client sign-off
• Team collaboration with role-based access control
• Activity logging and audit trails

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that affect your use.

3. Account Registration

To use TaskOH, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. Authentication is handled via passwordless magic links and JWT tokens.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your email account and any magic links you receive
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

You may not share your account with others, create multiple accounts for abusive purposes, or use another person's account without permission.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Plans

TaskOH offers the following subscription tiers:

• Free — up to 3 projects, 3 members per project, 100 MB storage
• Pro ($12/month) — unlimited projects, 10 members per project, 5 GB storage, client portal, approval workflows, 90-day activity log
• Business ($29/month) — everything in Pro, unlimited members, 25 GB storage, email-to-tasks, priority support

Pricing and plan features may change. We will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days before any pricing increase takes effect on their account.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period
• Your account will then revert to the Free plan
• Data exceeding the Free plan limits will be preserved but read-only until you upgrade or reduce usage

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the charge.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TaskOH to:

• Upload, store, or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Upload malware, viruses, or any malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or any form of unsolicited communications
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal API usage
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

6. AI Processing Disclaimer

TaskOH uses artificial intelligence to extract tasks, priorities, and other information from uploaded documents. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated results are assistive and may contain errors — they are not a substitute for human review
• You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all AI-extracted content before acting on it
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated output for any particular purpose
• AI processing is provided on a best-effort basis and may be temporarily unavailable

7. Client Portal & Data Sharing

TaskOH allows you to invite clients and team members to view and interact with your projects. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for deciding who receives access to your project data
• Clients invited to a project can view task statuses, leave comments, and approve or request changes
• Magic links sent to clients provide access without requiring a password — treat them as sensitive credentials
• You should only share project data that you have the right to share with the intended recipients

8. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to or create within TaskOH (tasks, documents, comments, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Our Platform

TaskOH, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written consent.

The TaskOH name, logo, and associated trademarks are our property. You may not use them without permission.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep TaskOH available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible)
• Unexpected technical issues or outages
• Third-party service disruptions (hosting, payment processing, AI providers)

We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service downtime or interruptions.

10. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your use of the Service poses a security risk or negatively impacts other users
• We are required to do so by law

If we terminate your account for reasons other than a Terms violation, we will provide reasonable notice and allow you to export your data before deletion.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in subscription fees during the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice within the application at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
